"Yoga is like a buffet, an array of options to satisfy your appetite."
Practising yoga has helped me realize what a content life really is... Finding a positive vibe in the worst of situations, keeping an open mind and open heart even in the most trying times, and learning not to worry, because you can’t steer a car on an unpathed road.  Yoga and Barre challenge me in a variety of ways, and I am definitely a creature of wanting to be challenged!

Unfortunately sports injuries got the best of me a few years ago, finding it more and more difficult to compete on a level still capable of. Shoulder, lower back and sciatica pain has limited my abilities. Yoga has such great benefit to those likewise of myself, the improvement of flexibility and the meditation to become body aware has tremendously turned my personal inability around. Come see for yourself!

"The only thing permanent is impermanence."
Yoga has been my constant for almost 20 years. Just as the waves of a pebble dropped in still water ripple out into infinity the effects of my yoga practice resonate throughout my life. The wisdom that comes from sitting in silence or flowing through vinyasas  or being in breath guides me throughout my relationships, into work or sitting in my car cursing traffic. My classes may challenge you to your core (sometimes literally!) but change doesn’t come without a little chaos. Whether we are balancing on our arms or going upside down or just being in the quiet and still places your own inherent wisdom will speak to you. It will be sweaty and fun and frustrating and worth every moment.

"Each new day is a new opportunity to improve yourself. take it. And make the most of it."
Dance connects my mind and body, and teaching connects me to everybody dancing with me. When I’m at the studio I get to relay my feelings through movement while teaching and my students relate to the expression, feel it, and release it. There’s nothing more wonderful than watching you all improve and grow with me, that is why I’m a teacher.

Why I love yoga
Initially I loved it for how it made my body physically feel, stretching, building strength and flexibility... my practice developed to envelope my entire being, building more control over my breathing, my thoughts and my words. The idea of leading others through this practice and maybe guiding them to become better versions of themselves brings me joy and drives my passion for it.

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Albert Einstein
I started doing yoga because I thought I needed a good stretch, and quickly realized what I needed was so much more. Yoga came to me during a time in my life when I needed it the most, and it gave me the tools to cope with difficult experiences. Whatever the question, yoga has been my answer. It's been an honour to be able to share this practice that I love so much with others, in hopes that they walk away with the same awareness, accountability, mindfulness and peace in their hearts.
